What are we looking for?

This position is for a paralegal with experience in a Law Firm that was engaged in the practice of business or real estate litigation. We need a paralegal that has drafted discovery requests, drafted petitions, is aware of what stage the case is at all times, and maybe even participated in a jury trial.

What do we require: 1440 billable hours per year. Productivity bonuses are paid every pay cycle, or bi-monthly.

Essential Duties:

• Case Management
• • Discuss initial case assessment with assigned Attorney
  • Ensure calendar deadlines and case milestones are added to the Firm’s Master Calendar in the Case Management System and the Firm’s Transactional Board ensure no deadlines are missed and cases move forward
  • Identify and resolve calendar scheduling conflicts
  • Review upcoming daily, weekly, and monthly appointments, court appearances and tasks to prioritize workload
  • Triage client communications to follow up via phone and email as required
  • Maintain accurate client records in the Case Management System (CMS) and in Clio Connect
  • Maintain physical and electronic client case files

• Perform case work
• • Investigate parties for assets and previous lawsuits in case of collecting in breach of contract cases;
  • Moving cases forward by maintaining client files and timely review of records and bills,
  • Review accounting records;
  • Draft motions,
  • Draft proposed orders,
  • Draft discovery requests or responses,
  • Support trial preparation work and trial binders,
  • Draft demand letters,
  • Perform basic legal research,
  • Collect litigation evidence and indexing it with Bates Stamps numbers,
