Job Overview

A law firm seeks a junior to mid-level Mergers and Acquisitions Associate to join their team in Austin, TX. The ideal candidate will focus on mergers and acquisitions, handling large and sophisticated transactions. This in-office role requires admission to practice in Texas or eligibility to waive in.

Duties

• Manage and support complex domestic and cross-border transactional matters from inception through closing.
• Conduct legal due diligence, analyze findings, and develop practical recommendations.
• Draft, review, negotiate, and revise contracts and transaction documents.
• Structure transactions and provide strategic legal and regulatory advice.
• Support deal execution, manage timelines, and coordinate workstreams.
• Participate in negotiations with various stakeholders.
• Coordinate and manage transaction closings and post-closing obligations.
• Analyze and advise on regulatory requirements and compliance considerations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions.

Requirements

• 2-7 years of M&A experience in an AmLaw 100 law firm.
• Strong academic background from a nationally recognized school.
• Direct and applicable big law firm experience.

Education

• JD Degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice in Texas or able to waive in.
