Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Trademark and Copyright Litigation Associate to join its team in Jefferson City, MO. The ideal candidate will possess three to seven years of experience, with a preference for those based in or willing to relocate to the Nashville office or utilize the firm's virtual office, The Link. This role involves collaborating closely with attorneys in the Financial Services & Capital Markets business unit to handle complex intellectual property matters.

Duties

• Manage a broad spectrum of trademark and copyright matters, including the administration of large domestic and international portfolios.


• Handle proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB) and resolve trademark and copyright disputes.


• Address domain name disputes under the Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy (UDRP) and lead anticounterfeiting enforcement efforts.


• Draft and respond to demand letters, provide litigation support, and manage copyright registration processes.


• Negotiate and draft trademark and copyright licensing agreements and technology contracts.


 

Requirements

• Three to seven years of relevant experience, with trademark litigation and TTAB experience serving as a threshold requirement.


• Hold an active bar license in the state corresponding to the office of application, or commit to obtaining one promptly.


• Demonstrate exceptional judgment, superior interpersonal skills, and the ability to articulate legal strategies effectively.


• Show a proven record of working well under pressure while managing multiple projects simultaneously.


 

Education

• Excellent academic credentials from an accredited law school.


 

Certifications

• Active state bar license required or commitment to obtain one.
