A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney in Woodland Hills, CA, to join a dedicated litigation team. This role offers the opportunity to manage client cases, conduct legal research, draft documents, and support trial preparation in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Duties

• Conduct comprehensive legal research using LexisNexis, Lawgic, and Westlaw to support case development across various practice areas.


• Draft legal documents including contracts, motions, pleadings, and wills with precision and clarity.


• Assist in trial preparation by organizing evidence, preparing witnesses for depositions, and developing case strategies.


• Manage client communications effectively to ensure clarity and responsiveness throughout the legal process.


• Support litigation efforts through court depositions, procedural law application, and general & commercial litigation tasks.


• Maintain accurate case management records and ensure compliance with all procedural requirements.


 

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school; admission to the state bar is required.


• 2-3 years of proven experience in litigation, legal research, and drafting.


• Strong knowledge of procedural law, statutory research methods, and legal motion preparation.


• Excellent research skills utilizing Lawgic, LexisNexis, and Westlaw platforms.


• Exceptional writing skills with the ability to produce clear and persuasive legal documents.


• Effective negotiation skills coupled with strong client communication abilities.


• Ability to handle multiple cases efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.


 

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.


 

Certifications

• Active admission to the state bar.


 

Skills

• Familiarity with estate planning is preferred.


• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 is required.


• Familiarity with PracticePanther is a plus.
