A law firm seeks a Casualty Litigation Attorney to join its team in Wilmington, DE. This role offers a hybrid or remote work arrangement within a collaborative environment specializing in general liability, professional liability, and toxic tort matters across multiple jurisdictions.

Duties

• Manage and litigate casualty, general liability, and professional liability cases from inception through trial.


• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and correspondence with precision and clarity.


• Collaborate with team members on case strategy, discovery, and settlement negotiations.


• Maintain accurate records of billable hours and case files using firm management systems.


 

Requirements

• Current and active Bar membership in good standing in PA, NJ, NY, DE, MD, DC, and/or CT.


• Prior experience in casualty litigation is preferred, though candidates with relevant transferable skills are encouraged to apply.


• Superior written and oral communication skills with strong organizational abilities.


• Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.


 

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.


 

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in at least one of the specified jurisdictions.


 

Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).


• Experience with LexisNexis and familiarity with Case/File Management systems.


• Strong ability to track billable hours and manage administrative tasks.
