A law firm seeks an experienced associate in Seattle to join its dynamic Trademark and Advertising practice. The role involves managing the full lifecycle of brand protection, including trademark prosecution, opposition proceedings, and complex enforcement matters. The ideal candidate will advise clients on emerging issues in digital media, AI, and global marketing strategies while handling high-stakes disputes.

Duties

• Clear and prosecute trademarks, and manage trademark opposition and cancellation proceedings.



• Enforce brand rights through demand letters, domain disputes, takedowns, and federal litigation.



• Advise clients on marketing claims, advertising compliance, and competitor conduct.



• Counsel on novel legal issues involving AI-generated content, virtual worlds, and influencer marketing.



• Develop global brand protection strategies for clients with international ambitions.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience in trademark, copyright, advertising, and Internet liability law.



• Demonstrated interest in boundary-pushing clients, contested matters, and unsettled legal areas.



• Ability to take real ownership of enforcement and dispute resolution work.



• Superior academic credentials and a strong record of professional achievement.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active membership in good standing with the State Bar.
