A law firm seeks a midlevel associate with over four years of relevant experience to join its Public Company Advisory group within the Capital Markets practice in New York, NY. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in securities law compliance, disclosure, and corporate governance for a diverse public company client base.

Duties

• Independently manage day-to-day securities law counseling, SEC reporting, and corporate governance matters for public company clients.



• Advise clients across diverse industries, including technology, healthcare, real estate, and consumer services, ranging from Fortune 500 companies to emerging growth entities.



• Collaborate closely with members of the Public Company Advisory group to deliver comprehensive legal solutions.

Requirements

• More than four years of prior relevant experience in securities law and corporate governance.



• Deep understanding of securities laws with direct experience in public company compliance.



• Strong academic credentials and exceptional written, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Education

• Law degree from an accredited institution.

Certifications

• Admission to the New York Bar.

Skills

• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.



• Experience advising clients in sectors such as technology, healthcare/life sciences, real estate/REITs, and retail/consumer services.



• Background in-house securities or corporate governance experience is highly valued.
