Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Senior Counsel with over seven years of experience to support its Real Estate Practice Group in Scottsdale, AZ. The ideal candidate will possess significant transactional expertise across commercial asset classes, including acquisitions, dispositions, development, financing, and leasing.

Duties

• Draft, review, and negotiate complex purchase and sale agreements, leases, subleases, and development agreements.



• Negotiate loan documents, easements, restrictive covenants, assignments, and guarantees for sophisticated transactions.



• Manage complex transactions from inception through closing, collaborating with clients, opposing counsel, and multidisciplinary teams.



• Advise on title, survey, zoning, entitlements, construction, and other real estate due diligence matters.

Requirements

• Must be licensed to practice law in Arizona.



• Minimum of seven years of experience in real estate transactional law.



• Proven ability to manage complex transactions and work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.

Education

• Excellent academic credentials, including a Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in the state of Arizona.

Skills

• Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.



• Exceptional organizational abilities and attention to detail.



• Experience representing or working with developers, owners, investors, REITs, or institutional real estate companies is highly valued.
