AI Project Attorney

Job Overview

A law firm seeks an AI Project Attorney to support the adoption, integration, and utilization of artificial intelligence in legal service delivery. This role may be based in Sacramento, CA, or available for 100% remote work within the United States.

Duties

• Develop and build generative AI workflows, use cases, and prompts for legal practice, including identifying agentic use cases.


• Create use case materials for various practice areas and roles, expanding prompt and workflow libraries to drive lawyer utilization.


• Train lawyers and timekeepers on AI tools through one-on-one sessions, workshops, and design-thinking sessions.


• Maintain expertise in the firm's generative AI tools, assisting with vetting, piloting, and onboarding new technology solutions.


• Collaborate with practice groups to support the adoption of AI and build communities of practice across the firm.


• Assist in communicating with clients on AI solutions and develop case studies for marketing and business development.

Requirements

• Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an accredited university and admission to practice in good standing in a U.S. jurisdiction.


• Minimum of three years of experience as an attorney in a law firm or comparable legal environment.


• Strong technical aptitude, including familiarity with generative AI, large language models, and machine learning in legal practice.


• Experience building generative AI workflows, use cases, and prompts, along with driving legal technology adoption.


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas in layman's terms.


• Strong analytical, project management, and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.


• Self-starter with strong interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively at all organizational levels.
