The role involves working with school boards, superintendents, and district administrators on legal matters impacting public education, including complex special education litigation and advising on employment and operational issues.

Duties

• Handle complex special education litigation.
• Advise school districts on employment, personnel, and governance issues.
• Collaborate with school boards and administrators on legal matters.
• Manage multiple priorities independently and collaboratively.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the New Jersey Bar in good standing.
• Five or more years of experience in education or employment law for public entities.
• Experience with special education litigation and IDEA/Section 504 compliance.
• Preferred experience in public sector labor and employment law.
• Strong legal research, writing, and advocacy skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
