A law firm seeks a highly motivated Litigation Associate Attorney to join its practice in White Plains, New York. The role involves handling state and federal civil litigation, with a preference for candidates admitted to the New York Bar and possessing three to five years of litigation experience.

Duties

• Prepare pleadings, motions, and briefs as needed.
• Appear in various courts, both in person and virtually.
• Direct cases through the litigation cycle and develop cost-effective strategies.
• Organize and track case status and manage attorney court appearances.
• Work directly with clients, many of whom only speak Spanish.

Requirements

• Admission to the New York State Bar with 3-5 years of litigation experience.
• Federal court admission or eligibility to obtain admission promptly.
• Admission in Connecticut or New Jersey is a plus.
• Admission to the federal courts in Louisiana is highly desirable.
• Spanish fluency is preferred.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the New York State Bar.

Skills

• Strong writing and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and work under tight schedules.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Teams/Zoom software.
• Competent use of AI for legal research and drafting.
