Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Business Litigation Associate for its Waco, TX office. The ideal candidate will have 7 years of recent experience in business litigation and be licensed to practice in TX. Strong writing skills and excellent academic credentials are essential. This role primarily involves working with the Professional Responsibility group.

Duties

• Conduct legal research and analysis to support pleadings, memoranda, and other written documents.


• Draft pleadings and other case documents while managing matters from commencement to final resolution.


• Attend hearings and maintain professional communication with clients and supervising attorneys.


 

Requirements

• Must hold a Juris Doctorate with excellent academic credentials and be licensed to practice in TX.


• Demonstrate familiarity with federal and state court procedural rules and practices.


• Exhibit experience in preparing basic litigation documents and managing cases effectively.


• Display clear and effective drafting, negotiating, and communication skills.


• Ability to learn new substantive legal topics and provide reliable legal services under pressure.


• Strong organization and matter management skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.


 

Education

• Juris Doctorate
