Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Attorney for its litigation practice in Oakland Park, FL. The ideal candidate will possess 3+ years of litigation experience, with trial experience preferred. The role focuses on handling catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases, including nursing home negligence, medical malpractice, negligent security, products liability, and auto negligence.

Duties

• Review, analyze, and draft pleadings and legal documents.



• Examine medical records to draft demand letters and negotiate with insurance carriers and opposing counsel.



• Attend hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials as required.



• Manage caseloads, support staff, and client expectations effectively.

Requirements

• Demonstrate exceptional knowledge of litigation cases from inception to trial.



• Have strong written and verbal communication skills.



• Have excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.



• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.



• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.



• Be proactive, and a self-starter.

Education

• Law degree (J.D.) from an accredited institution.

Certifications

• Bar admission (Preferred).

Skills

• Experience with cross-border matters desired.
