Job Overview

Duties

• Conduct factual investigations, manage discovery, and prepare pleadings for complex commercial litigation matters.



• Take depositions, argue motions, and participate in mediations and administrative proceedings.



• Communicate regularly with clients to articulate legal strategies and courses of action.



• Second-chair trials or arbitrations as needed, demonstrating superior interpersonal skills.

Requirements

• Three to six years of experience in all phases of complex commercial litigation.



• Experience in both state and federal court is preferred; administrative and arbitration experience is beneficial.



• Must be licensed in Delaware or Illinois, or commit to obtaining a license as soon as possible.



• Demonstrated record of working well under pressure with exceptional judgment.

Education

• Excellent academic credentials from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active bar license in Delaware or Illinois, or commitment to obtain one promptly.

• Ability to effectively handle multiple projects and articulate legal strategies.
