A law firm seeks a motivated Associate Attorney with 1-4 years of civil litigation experience to join its growing team in Phoenix, AZ. The role focuses on civil and commercial disputes, including contract disputes, business torts, and administrative litigation. This position offers meaningful courtroom experience, case ownership, and client relationship building within a collaborative environment. Candidates must be located in the Phoenix metropolitan area and available to work in the office 3-4 days per week.

Duties

• Manage civil and commercial litigation matters in Arizona state and federal courts.



• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and other essential legal documents.



• Conduct comprehensive legal research and develop strategic case plans.



• Communicate regularly with clients regarding case developments and legal strategy.



• Prepare for and participate in depositions, hearings, and oral arguments.



• Manage discovery processes, court deadlines, and overall case schedules.



• Negotiate settlements and collaborate effectively with attorneys and legal staff.

Requirements

• Active Arizona Bar membership in good standing.



• 1-4 years of experience in civil litigation.



• Knowledge of Arizona and federal civil procedure.



• Strong research, writing, analytical, communication, and advocacy skills.



• Excellent organization, attention to detail, and time management abilities.

Education

• J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active Arizona Bar membership.
