Assistant Professor - Communications Law
The candidate will provide duties, including: academic and career advising of undergraduate and graduate students; department, school and university committee service; and occasional community outreach. A Ph.D. or J.D. is required. Should have experience in the practice of communications law; Must have a strong track record, or demonstrate a strong trajectory of scholarship, in research or policy development regarding social media and emerging media technologies, and the implications these new forms of communication have on law and policy, both in the US and internationally; must demonstrate the potential to bring national visibility to the School through academic scholarship or professional writing. Must have a tenure-track hire is expected to pursue activities that will position the hire as a well-known expert in their area of research.
