E-Services And Strategy (ESS) Counsel
The candidate will be responsible for: Consult and support Perkins Coie legal teams and clients in the strategic application of litigation support technologies. Make recommendations regarding preservation and collection methodologies, technology platforms and data processing efforts. Consult with legal teams and clients on effective database design to ensure efficient document review and assist in the management of document reviews. Assist core legal teams in the development and execution of case training materials and with the day-to-day management of SDA and STA teams, and document review attorney teams to facilitate communication with the core legal teams regarding document review projects. Manage SDA/STA workloads, provide guidance and consolation to ESS attorneys. Perform document review for relevance, privilege and issue coding and quality control of third-party document review work. Assist core legal teams in the management of cases analysis projects. Identify document and evidence for use at deposition and trial. Engage the use of relational database technology (e.g. Magnum, Fact Manager, CaseMap) to collect and analyze evidence. Must have strong knowledge of the principles of litigation support software such as Relativity, Concordance, CaseMap, and LiveNote. Familiarity with the litigation process, including all phases of discovery and trial essential. Must have superb attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong customer service skills. Fluent in standard MS Office applications and ability to quickly master new litigation software. Demonstrated ability to pay attention to detail, exercise discretion and maintain extreme focus. Previous document review experience preferred. Foreign language skills and advanced technical skills are a plus. Must have Juris Doctorate degree and at least 3 years of related work experience. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be substituted. Must be an active member of the state bar association where the Perkins Coie Office is located.
