Assistant or Associate Professor in Business Law
The candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate Business Law courses. These courses may be offered day, evenings, and weekends as needed to serve the students in face-to-face, online, hybrid formats, and at other campuses. Will help the Dean of the Davies College of Business engage and interact with managers in the Houston business community to ensure resulting management course competencies parallel industry needs. Will be expected to further work with industry to facilitate placement of Davies College of Business graduates.
Candidates should provide evidence of excellence, or potential for excellence in teaching and research. Should exhibit a strong commitment to scholarly research in their discipline and a willingness to work with others in promoting the advancement of the university. Must have a proven expertise in business and commercial law relevant to one or more areas of law taught by the business law faculty. These areas include, in addition to general business and commercial law, employment law, international law, law related to the financial industry and accounting, and supply chain law. Will help the Dean of the Davies College of Business to engage and interact with managers in the business community in order to ensure resulting management course competencies parallel with industry needs. A successful candidate will be expected to further work with industry to facilitate placement of Davies College of Business graduates.
