Position Summary: The Senior Mechanical Engineernwill be part of the Consumable development team, responsible for the successfulndesign and development of the consumables for the next generation roboticnplatform that will change the future of healthcare. You will be a strongntechnical resource, having responsibilities spanning the wide range of productndevelopment lifecycle, such as ideation, design, analysis, prototyping,ndocumentation, verification, validation, and manufacturing transfer. You havendemonstrated experience in design of consumables for medical devices. You mustnbe familiar with DFx design approaches and utilize strong analytical skills andnhave experience with complex multi-part assemblies. This is a collaborativenopportunity where you will work with product management, industrial designers,nand manufacturing engineering. Ideal candidates have designed and implemented medicalndevice consumables including verification and validation.  Primary Responsibilities:n Lead analyses of components and assembliesn including FEA, creep, tolerance, and manufacturability.n Responsible for design, and developmentn of consumable devices for the next generation product.nParticipate in hands-on activities includingnprototyping, and engineering tests.Participate in generation of new concepts.·      nImplementsnbest practices in design methodologies, development processes and tools.n Project management responsibilitiesn which may include vendor and supplier management, developing andn maintaining project schedules and budgets.nQualifications:n BSc. degree in Mechanical Engineering required, MSc. preferredn Proficiencyn with SolidWorks including surface modeling requiredn Strongn analytical skills and experience in FEA, creep analysis, and tolerancen analysis requiredn Proficiencyn with SolidWorks Simulation analysis tools including Motion Analysis, FEA,n Plastics, and Creep analysis preferred n Experiencen with MATLAB and Simulink preferredn 7 yrsn experience in a product development role required, medical devicen experience or other regulated industry highly preferred.nn Projectn management experience preferred n Experiencen managing external resources preferredn Strongn communication skills requiredn Abilityn to travel up to 10% is requirednAt Siemens Healthineers, we value those who dedicate their energy and passion to a greater cause.
