Azure Logic App / Function to check emails and extract zipped, password protected attachments from Outlook, store the attachments in ADLS (Blob storage),
The use case is as follows:
I receive multiple times daily pairs of two emails:
- The first email contains an attachment (password protected zip file)
- The second email contains the password of the zip file that ive downloaded via the URL
Both emails in the subject contain a string with an identical reference number to identify which emails belong together.
The ask for this project is to:
1. Create a Logic App to
a) periodically (every 15 min) monitor emails with attachments
b) extract the reference number from a subject line (string split function required)
c) extract any attachments into a predefined Azure Blob Storage container incoming using a unique file name (reference number)
d) periodically (every 15 min) monitor all emails with passwords
e) extract the reference number and password
f) store reference number and password in an excel lookup table passwords
2. Extend the logic app to call an Azure Function, Runbook or similar to perform the following steps:
g) periodically (every 15 min) look for any new zipped files in the incoming folder
h) parse the file name to get the reference number
i) retrieve the .zip password using the reference number from the file name from excel spreadsheet (see above)
j) unzip the file using the password above
k) store the extracted file (.pdf) in a ready for processing blob storage folder
3. Extend the logic app above to perform the following functions:
l) periodically (every 15 min) look for any new extracted file in the ready for processing blob storage folder
m) extract the .pdf to flat file file (tbd - please propose: may be a either done via API subscription or code)
n) parse the text file for 6 strings located in predefined lines / positions of the documents
o) store those strings together with file name in new second spreadsheet data
4. Provide source code in GitHub or similar
5. Create AMR template or deploy code together during guided Webex- or Zoom session

- I can not provide an Azure development environment
- Email- and .pdf samples can be provided
