Director & Senior Counsel, Privacy

Duties: Serve as a legal subject matter expert on all aspects of U.S. and international privacy laws, including GLBA, Reg P, CCPA, GDPR, TCPA, FCRA, as well as state data protection laws and regulations. Provide expert, practical legal advice and strategic support on privacy, data usage and data governance. Partner with business and compliance professionals to develop strategic solutions that address privacy legal requirements and risks, including with respect to: New products and initiatives, Vendor relationships, Disclosures and Marketing, Data governance, Regulatory exams, Policies, procedures and training. Review collection, use and transfers of user data. Draft privacy policies and review consumer disclosures. Identify, assess and communicate legal and regulatory developments, and advise the business on best practices to comply with legal and regulatory requirements. Advise on potential business impact of proposed changes to U.S., EU and other international privacy and data security laws and regulations. Negotiate privacy and data protection-related provisions of complex technology and other commercial contracts. Support regulatory activities, including related to regulatory exams. Support company engagement with government, industry, and consumer groups on privacy issues.
