Director, Tax
The candidate will direct tax controversy process for area of tax specialization, including conduct of audits, voluntary disclosure agreements and tax amnesty programs, for tax efficient settlement of tax controversies. Direct tax reporting/compliance reporting requirements, including review of tax filings, related to area of tax specialization. Monitor tax legislative matters, developments and case law in assigned area of tax specialization. Tax research and development of filing positions. Self-development and development of staff. Must have Bachelor's in Accounting or Taxation, Juris Doctorate preferred. CPA required. Should have 10+ years of experience. Must have experience in the field of taxation required, including experience in the areas of tax controversy, tax research and tax compliance. Should have thorough knowledge of taxation and tax concepts in area of tax specialization (international, state and local, sales/use and property tax, etc.). Thorough knowledge and significant experience in the area of tax controversy required. FAS 109 experience preferred. Experience with preparation and review of federal and multi-state income tax compliance required. Experience with companies filing consolidated returns preferred.
