The candidate must have experience in an educational or other professional setting, and/or an interest and an aptitude for, addressing matters of diversity and inclusion. Should have demonstrated the academic and professional excellence anticipated of the members of a top law school's faculty. Should have a J.D. degree from an accredited law school. Exceptional candidates who possess an advanced degree, such as a Ph.D., and who have scholarly interests related to the law involving interdisciplinary, jurisprudential, empirical, or social scientific work may be considered even without holding a law degree.
