Duties: Supports **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. (RMF) in its residential, reverse mortgage origination line of business by strengthening the company’s origination compliance program, including participation and oversight in large scale strategic initiatives and management of day-to-day compliance support. Will be a subject matter expert for originations compliance legal needs for our Retail, Wholesale and Correspondent lending channels, and will play a key role in the oversight and strategic development of RMF’s origination loan level requests, origination compliance projects, fair lending program, HMDA reporting, consumer complaints, and training. Function as subject matter expert for origination compliance and legal requirements applicable to reverse mortgage originations. Conduct legal research, prepare legal/compliance memorandums, and provide advice on compliance and legal requirements for all consumer federal and state laws and regulations, including: ECOA, FCRA/FACTA, Fair Housing Act, FTC Act and Dodd-Frank Act’s UDAAP, Flood Disaster Protection Laws, GLBA, HMDA, Homeowner’s Protection Act, RESPA, SCRA, TILA, and, as well as FHA/HUD guidelines, with an emphasis on troubleshooting loan-level scenarios. Provide compliance and legal advice on requirements for company policies and procedures, particularly in connection with policy and procedure development and applicability in loan level requests. Lead tracking and reporting of origination compliance and legal programs to manager and executive management. Track and interpret new and changing origination compliance and legal requirements and analyze their impact on existing practices and policies; draft and revise policies and procedures accordingly. Communicate origination compliance and legal impacts to business partners and work closely with business line and function managers and senior executives to implement any required compliance and legal changes. Assist compliance staff and business partners staff in managing Company originations operations to the published Compliance Management System. Represent compliance and legal and participate and in the development of implementation, corrective and/or remediation action plans and oversee the timely resolution as agreed upon with the business.
