Policy And Community Advocacy Attorney / Manager
The candidate will represent company in coalitions and other collaborations to developr and implement advocacy strategies that advance company priorities; Cultivate and maintain effective relationships with policymakers, community groups, and coalition partners; Analyze legislative and policy proposals and produce written materials for policymakers and for community groups; Provide technical assistance to community-based organizations engaged in state or local advocacy; Conduct trainings and KYR presentations for community-based organizations; Work with other staff to produce timely advisories and other legal resources for a range of audiences; Other related duties as assigned by the Executive Director. Must have J.D. or graduate-level degree in a relevant field. Should have 2-3 years of experience in policy and advocacy work. Must have 2-3 years of experience in organizing and community outreach work. Should have excellent writing and legislative/policy analysis skills. Must have knowledge of immigration law, particularly as it relates to the immigration consequences of criminal convictions and other criminal-immigration issues. Spanish speaking preferred.
