Director, Compliance Risk and Data Services
Duties: Compliance risk initiatives include proactively monitoring health care laws and regulations and investigating potential risks within the Medical Center. Enhance existing risk assessment program by developing new methods to identify components of the revenue cycle, EHR documentation practices, and hospital business operations that may be at risk for non-compliance. Based on results of risk assessment and audit activities, initiate recommendations and oversee implementation of corrective action, policy development and other process improvement initiatives. Work closely with Medical Center administrative leaders, revenue cycle teams and clinical staff to implement change processes as identified by results of ongoing risk assessment activities. Monitor and investigate compliance resource/ hot line and external audit activities. Manage the sanction screening process for excluded individuals. Data initiatives include managing Compliance Office internal databases and understanding data in databases. Enhance the analyses available to all areas of compliance with detailed knowledge of the data available and data analysis methods. Ensure all Compliance Office data is entered and stored in the appropriate databases. Develop and maintain reports, graphs and dashboards for reporting compliance activity. Provide guidance and leadership in the analysis of internal data with data, internal and external benchmarking data, and external audit payor audit activities.
