Director and Lecturer of Entrepreneurship Legal Clinic
Duties: Will advise early-stage startups (i.e. those at the pre-seed and seed financing stages), on a range of potential issues, including entity formation, contracting, financing, talent, intellectual property, and risk mitigation. Clients will come from the greater Miami metropolitan area with an emphasis on those having a tie to the University community. Will be expected to collaborate with the LaunchPad, an entrepreneurship initiative at the University that supports new ventures led by students and alumni. Will also be expected to collaborate with the School of Law’s Law Without Walls Program. Will be responsible for determining the precise scope and nature of the Clinic’s operations. As a Lecturer, the Director will teach courses as assigned by the Dean of the Law School or Associate Dean of Academic Affairs.
