Mechanical Design Engineer Description:-Involved in start to finish product design to improve current standard product line (with a focus in shafts, bearings, gears)-Calculate tolerances and heat loads, as well as involvement in material selection.Must Haves:-3 years of Mechanical Design Engineering experience specifically in Industrial design with focus on tolerances, clearances, and heat loads-3 years of solid modeling experience (pro-e or Soldiworks preferred)-Bachelor of Science in ME or similar concentration (will also be open to someone with an Associates and 5 years of experience)-Someone who has worked in a smaller company and has been involved in concept to final product design is strongly preferred. 1st Day Expectations: This person will need to hit the ground running in understanding mechanism designs (shafts, bearings, gears). They have several Entry Level Engineers working for them at this time that already are requiring training so they really need this person to hit the ground runningPerformance Metrics:They will be measured on how much initiative they take and if they are hitting design deadlinesBest Versus Average: Someone who is a team player and can help out the greener engineers, someone who has a strong understanding of how things works.
