Senior Intellectual Property Coordinator
The candidate will provide support to the Intellectual Property Protection Group’s digital piracy and counterfeiting enforcement programs. Will primarily be responsible for providing direct support to the Intellectual Property Protection Group. Providing assistance and support with investigations. Proactively searching and monitoring the internet for materials in violation of firm’s intellectual property rights. Responding to and investigating incoming leads. Reporting intellectual property violations. Documenting the violation(s) and matching/validating the product ownership to firm using internal databases. Electronic file management: creating, organizing and updating case files. Purchasing suspected piratical materials for evidentiary purposes. Inspecting and logging suspected counterfeit textbooks, and maintaining the chain of custody at the customer level. Preparing copyright schedules. Filing, data entry, scanning and faxing. Conducting investigations using both the internet and commercial databases to research people and business entities.
