Full Time: .Net Developer with eCommerce

Profile

We currently have an immediate opening for a .NET Web Application Developer who will be based out of Itasca, IL.
This Web Developer will:
Design and create web and mobile based interactive applications that achieve meaningful business objectives in support of business requirements as gathered from the business teams and subsidiaries.
Provide support, maintenance, and enhancements for existing applications domestically and globally.
Provide technical guidance on projects to ensure efficient integration with internal network and corporate IT systems/applications (SharePoint, Oracle, Microsoft Commerce Server, etc.).
Key Responsibilities
Develop new web and mobile based interactive applications to support business needs.
Identify and analyze alternative ways to address user requirements and recommend the most effective and efficient solution.
Maintain existing applications, databases, and overall Fellowes.com infrastructure; implement continuous improvements to enhance the user experience and site performance.
Coordinate project deliverables with project team including requirements definition, application design, development, and testing.
Evaluate capabilities of new software, including the development of new systems, to determine applicability to business needs and requirements.
Work with outside software and service vendors. Install new software and upgrades to existing third-party software.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Math, or Electronics
Experience:
Engineering or technical training/job experience equivalent.
Minimum 3 to 5 years development experience with .NET (C#) technology including WCF web services.
Minimum 3 to 5 years working knowledge of SQL Server 2008 with good database scripting knowledge.
Skills:
Good understanding and working knowledge of advance level JavaScript, jQuery API, HTML 5, and CSS3.
Must have working knowledge of product catalog concept in an eCommerce application/platform.
Must be able to demonstrate familiarity with object and component methodology and technologies.
Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint systems and Web Parts development is a plus.
Working knowledge or familiarity with Adobe’s Flex technology, Social Channel Integration API, Flash programming, Objective C language, or other mobile based programming language or application is optional but a very big plus.
Must be a versatile developer who is willing to learn and adapt new technologies as well as an independent contributor.
Must be able to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions.
Must be able to independently architect system design based upon business requirements.
Provide leadership in brainstorming technical ideas which enhance business capabilities.
