MSPCA/Angell is seeking a Technical Specialist-Database/Software

The Technical Specialist-Database/Software
is responsible for the overall coordination, control, and maintenance of the SQL databases and enterprise software. Job focus would be on database software requirements supporting MSPCA applications including StringSoft, Epicor, AngellLab, Chameleon, Millennium, etc., deployment, support, and maintenance of major software applications, and developing services and applications to fulfill the needs of the organization.
Some of the Responsibilities:
Perform regular scheduled database maintenance
Perform database performance tuning
Provide technical support to ensure the data integrity for corporate databases
Work directly with outside companies in support of design, development, implementation, and maintenance of the MSPCA software requirements
Work with Network Administration to set up and monitor database security for Internet/intranet access
Make data available to end users using tools such as SharePoint
Qualified applicants should have:
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in database information systems, knowledge of Windows Server, Millennium, SQL databases such as MSSQL, etc., and solid programming skills in .NET languages.
Will have a working knowledge of desktop hardware, software and networks.
Proven ability of communicate effectively both orally and in writing and strong organzational skills
Applicants with a background in end-user support in a hospital environment are preferred
This is a full time exempt position Monday- Friday 10:00am-6:30pm
