IP Paralegal / Legal Assistant
The canddate will assist attorneys with the prosecution of patents and trademarks at the United States Patent & Trademark Office. Previous patent paralegal/legal assistant experience is highly desired. Must have strong English and writing skills, and in particular Journalism majors, English majors and high-school level teachers. Preparation of patent-related documents and filings, preparation of trademark-related documents and filings, management of client files and related administration, proofreading, filing, docketing, transcription, and handling of other various correspondence with clients. Must be very detail oriented, be comfortable multi-tasking in the face of always changing priorities, be able to track and ensure ongoing deadlines are being met, and have excellent organizational skills, strong English/grammar and proofreading skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Word.
