The candidate will be controller for all accounting records for the firm. Oversee and supervise a bookkeeper. Produce budgets and data analysis for management decisions. Prepare financial statements using all steps in the accounting cycle. Ensure compliance with Florida Bar regulations and GAAP. Create, implement, and ensure internal control compliance. Ensure and execute proper accounting practices and procedures for accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and financial reporting. Filing and remitting taxes and other financial obligations. Initiating and managing financial and accounting software. Maintain fixed assets listing, depreciation schedule, and amortization schedule. Maintain trust account which includes but not limited to, distributions, deposits, and three-way reconciliations. Consult owner with business acumen for process improvement in areas of efficiency and human resources. Research, consulting, planning, execution, and training of ongoing firm projects.
