A law firm seeks a seasoned attorney in Houston, TX, to lead high-impact estate planning, probate, and guardianship matters. This role offers a supportive platform that eliminates business development responsibilities, allowing the attorney to focus exclusively on complex litigation, courtroom advocacy, and strategic client counsel across multiple Texas locations.

Duties

• Drive high-stakes litigation from intake to final decree, including contested guardianships, will contests, and trust disputes.



• Lead probate litigation matters and draft comprehensive estate plans while managing complex fiduciary duty claims.



• Command the courtroom in surrounding Texas counties, conducting first-chair trials, hearings, mediations, and depositions.



• Develop and execute sophisticated litigation tactics and negotiation strategies for dynamic, fast-paced dockets.



• Provide compassionate, results-driven representation to clients navigating difficult life transitions.



• Supervise assigned paralegals and support staff to ensure precision in pleadings, discovery, and document drafting.

Requirements

• Active membership in the Texas State Bar with a minimum of two years of licensed practice.



• Five or more years of dedicated experience in Estate Planning, Probate, and Guardianship litigation.



• A proven record of success in the courtroom with a fearless approach to high-impact litigation.



• Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to remain empathetic in highly emotional situations.



• Proficiency in Clio, TxDoc, Google Suite, and modern e-filing systems.



• Valid driver's license and the ability to travel between firm office locations as needed.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active Texas State Bar license.

Skills

• Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) is considered a strong plus.
