Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Civil Litigation Associate to join its real estate litigation-focused practice group in Chesterfield, Missouri. The role involves handling civil litigation centered on property law concepts, including real estate contracts, fee title, easements, adverse possession, and liens. The position also encompasses transactional real estate matters and general business litigation for clients.

Duties

• Collaborate with experienced attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants to manage case strategy and execution.


• Prepare evidence, documents, and presentations for trial alongside senior litigation counsel.


• Handle depositions, mediations, and court appearances while developing legal expertise.


• Draft pleadings, including petitions, motions, briefs, and other essential legal documents.


 

Requirements

• Two to five or more years of experience working in litigation.


• Ability to autonomously manage a large volume of files and meet strict deadlines.


• Strong analytical, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills with a teachable attitude.


• Experience with property or lending law is preferred, though not required.


 

Education

• Law degree from an ABA-accredited law school.


 

Certifications

• Must be licensed and able to practice law in Missouri.
