A law firm seeks an Associate in the Tax Department to join its Executive Compensation, Employment & Benefits practice group in Boston, MA. The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of two years of specialized experience in benefits and compensation matters to support a global client base.

Duties

• Advise clients on a full spectrum of corporate transactions, including multi-billion dollar mergers, acquisitions, and capital markets deals.



• Address complex, multi-jurisdictional employment and employee benefits issues, optimizing plan design to account for tax and securities law considerations.



• Collaborate with cross-office colleagues to provide insights on tax, securities, labor, and corporate governance matters.



• Develop commercial and practical workforce solutions by leveraging a sophisticated understanding of the legal landscape and market practices.

Requirements

• Minimum of two years of experience in benefits and compensation.



• Ability to work as an integrated part of the client's team and partner effectively with colleagues globally.



• Capacity to handle challenging compensation, employee benefits, and employment issues across various stages of company development.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction.
