A law firm seeks a Commercial Litigation Attorney in Marietta, Georgia. This role involves managing the full lifecycle of civil litigation matters, from initial pleadings through discovery, depositions, and trial preparation. The ideal candidate will bring 3 to 6 years of experience and a strong commitment to client service and effective advocacy.

Duties

• Draft and file pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, and discovery requests and responses.



• Conduct legal research, analyze case facts, and manage file documentation for strategic case development.



• Prepare clients for, defend, and take depositions while maintaining clear communication with all parties.



• Represent clients in state and federal court hearings, mediations, and other litigation proceedings.



• Coordinate with experts, opposing counsel, and non-parties to advance case objectives efficiently.

Requirements

• Must be licensed to practice law in the state of Georgia.



• Possess 3 to 6 years of experience in civil litigation.



• Demonstrate polished communication skills and the ability to prioritize a complex workload.



• Show a strong work ethic with the capacity to work independently as a self-starter.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in Georgia.

Skills

• Expertise in drafting motions for summary judgment, motions to compel, and subpoenas.



• Proficiency in conducting fact investigations and summarizing discovery materials.



• Strong oral advocacy and negotiation skills for mediations and court appearances.



• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and maintain effective client relationships.
