Job Overview

A law firm seeks a mid-level to senior associate with 4-8 years of experience to join the Technology Transactions, Cybersecurity, and Privacy Practice Group in Boston, MA. The candidate will focus on technology transactions in the health care and life sciences sectors.

Duties

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial technology agreements, including software and SaaS agreements.
• Handle data licensing and use agreements, cloud services agreements, and professional services agreements.
• Engage in strategic collaboration agreements and agreements involving digital health products and services.
• Advise on health technology and artificial intelligence matters.
• Negotiate business associate agreements and data protection provisions.

Requirements

• Strong organizational, analytical, prioritization, and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to manage transactions independently and exercise sound judgment.
• Collaborate effectively with senior attorneys and clients.
• Excellent academic credentials, writing, drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.

Education

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school with strong academic credentials.

Certifications

• Active member in good standing of the Bar of the jurisdiction(s) where admitted to practice.
• Timely admission to the Bar of the state where the hiring office is located required.

Skills

• Working knowledge of privacy and data security laws applicable to health care and health technology, including HIPAA and state health and consumer privacy laws.
• Experience with the development, deployment, licensing, and use of AI-enabled products, health data, and digital health solutions.
