Job Overview

Duties

• Counsel clients on estate planning strategies, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives, while analyzing family dynamics and financial goals.



• Draft, review, and finalize estate planning documents with precision, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, ethical standards, and firm procedures.



• Manage an active caseload, maintain accurate client files, and provide timely updates to clients regarding the status of their matters.



• Collaborate with attorneys, legal assistants, and administrative staff to coordinate matters smoothly and participate in firm development and community outreach.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and licensed to practice law in Indiana in good standing.



• Prior experience in estate planning, elder law, probate, or related practice areas is preferred.



• Strong legal writing, analytical, and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines effectively.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in the state of Indiana.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly and compassionately during sensitive situations.
