Duties

• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and legal documents related to real estate, business law, and associated practice areas.



• Conduct comprehensive legal research, prepare memoranda and opinions, and provide practical legal advice to clients under senior supervision.



• Manage client communications, attend meetings and hearings, and support matters involving land use, zoning, and homeowner associations.



• Collaborate with colleagues to develop case strategies, ensure compliance with applicable laws, and maintain high client service standards.

Requirements

• Strong foundation in law with a demonstrated interest or experience in real estate, business law, and related practice areas.



• Knowledge of Local Government Law sufficient to identify issues relevant to business and governmental clients.



• Ability to provide clear, practical legal advice while working under appropriate supervision.



• Proficient in legal research, including case law, statutes, regulations, and secondary sources.



• Effective negotiation skills for contracts, settlements, and client representations.



• Strong written and oral communication skills, including drafting precise legal documents and explaining complex issues clearly.



• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple matters and deadlines simultaneously.



• Ability to work collaboratively in a law firm environment and maintain professional client relationships.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active license or eligibility for admission to practice law in Indiana.
