A law firm seeks a Trial Attorney in Newark, NJ, to manage personal injury litigation and advocate for clients seeking maximum compensation. The role involves handling cases from intake through trial, ensuring compassionate client care and effective negotiation with insurance carriers.

Duties

• Meet with clients to discuss case details, demonstrating empathy and building trust while outlining legal strategies.


• Communicate regularly with clients and insurance companies regarding claim status, demands, and settlement offers.


• Prepare cases for trial and serve as first chair counsel during jury trials to achieve favorable outcomes.


• Evaluate claims thoroughly and utilize strong negotiation skills to resolve matters efficiently.


 

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of experience in Personal Injury litigation.


• Minimum of 5 jury trials served as first chair counsel.


• Active member of the New Jersey Bar in good standing.


• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented office environment.


 

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.


 

Certifications

• Certified Civil Trial Attorney status is preferred.


 

Skills

• Superb verbal and written communication skills.


• Proactive approach to problem-solving and case evaluation.


• Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) is a plus.
