A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney to join its litigation team in Irvine, CA. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of defense litigation experience in areas such as Construction Defect, General Liability, or Product Liability. This role involves managing complex civil litigation matters and collaborating with partners and clients to achieve optimal results.

Duties

• Handle local and national accounts throughout California.
• Independently manage a litigation caseload from inception through resolution.
• Conduct and defend depositions.
• Prepare witnesses for depositions and trial.
• Review and analyze discovery requests and responses.
• Draft and respond to discovery, pleadings, motions, and other litigation filings.
• Take lead roles in plaintiff and expert witness depositions.
• Assist with trial preparation and trial support.
• Collaborate with partners, clients, and team members to develop case strategy.
• Maintain accurate and timely billing and time records.

Requirements

• Minimum of three years of experience in Construction Defect, General Liability, Product Liability, or comparable civil defense litigation.
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Admission to practice law in California and in good standing.
• Experience handling all phases of litigation, including motion practice, discovery, and depositions.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Commitment to providing exceptional client service.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to practice law in California.
