A law firm seeks a Trial Attorney for a fully remote position, with the ability to attend in-person hearings, depositions, and trial preparations. The candidate must be admitted to the California State Bar.

Duties

• Draft pleadings, including complaints, motions, and oppositions.
• Draft and review discovery, meet and confer letters, and discovery motions.
• Argue motion and opposition hearings remotely and in court.
• Take and defend percipient and expert depositions.
• Prepare pre-trial documents and trial materials.
• Actively participate in trials.
• Strategically litigate cases by obtaining key evidence.
• Draft mediation briefs and attend mediation, actively negotiating settlements.
• Maintain regular client communication.
• Assist in managing litigation assistants and paralegals.
• Attend regular trainings for professional development.

Requirements

• JD and admission to the California bar.
• Strong written and oral advocacy skills.
• Highly motivated to learn and grow.
• Very well organized.
• Resourceful and persistent.
• Civil litigation or personal injury experience is a plus.

• Juris Doctor (JD)
