Profile

Our Central Texas area client company is searching for a Cybersecurity Specialist to defend critical information and computer networks from opportunistic hackers. As a security expert, the successful candidate will design/implement data recovery plans and safety measures, will draft policies and guidelines, will assess security risks, and analyze IT specifications, and will take appropriate action on malware threats and security breaches.
Candidates must have proven experience with risk management methodologies and security frameworks such as NIST Cybersecurity framework, cryptographic protocols such as SSL/TLS, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), firewalls, patch management, and intrusion detection and prevention systems such as TippingPoint. Knowledge of PHP and/or C is a plus.
Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related discipline, and be either a U.S. citizen or permanent U.S. resident (green card holder). Relevant certifications such as CISSP and CompTIA Security are a plus.
