Labor Relations Manager
Responsibilities Under the general direction of the Executive Director of Employee and Labor Relations (ELR), is responsible for management and oversight of the daily operations of ELR staff in a highly complex healthcare environment including the development, implementation and monitoring of multi-dimensional HR strategies for complex, critical employment matters impacting liability and patient care, employee complaint process, develop and oversee programs and strategies for Collective Bargaining, Policy and Advocacy. Collaborate with the ELR Manager to provide contract and policy interpretations, ensuring consistency across both campuses. Lead the unit in issue spotting in cases to provide risk management in collaboration with ELR Manager, Campus Counsel, Disability Management Services, Risk Management and Compliance on a variety of complex personnel and regulatory matters. Keep abreast of changing state and federally mandated employment and labor laws/policies and healthcare related regulations that govern the employment of staff and students.
