Worship Ministry Lead:
This position provides leadership for all worship ministries of the church; leads corporate worship gatherings; provides appropriate discipleship and educational opportunities; facilitates ministries that promote the spiritual growth and development of the body of a Christ at The Exchange Church; provides additional pastoral care.
Responsibilities:
Plan with the senior leadership, the content, and direction of all church worship services.
Cultivate the culture of the Worship team in line with the vision of the Exchange Church.
Provide musical and technical leadership to pursue excellence in worship experiences.
Contribute to the planning, organizing, and leading of the worship of weekly Sunday Gatherings and worship experiences outside of Sunday mornings. (This is including but is not limited to set list coordination, scheduling, rehearsal coordinator, etc.)
Attend Ministry Lead Meetings and Quarterly Leadership Gatherings
Oversee Team Member Onboarding: Recruit, train, and build the Exchange Church’s worship ministry
Lead volunteer recruitment and development efforts.
Provide support to sharpen musical and technical abilities in an ongoing way
Lead team members and volunteers to sharpen musical abilities
Assist with team technical efforts
Lead and assist with the spiritual and leadership development of the worship team leaders and members with opportunities for leadership development and spiritual formation.
Discipleship Ministry Lead:
The Discipleship Ministry Lead will help oversee the Discipleship and Formation initiatives for the Exchange Church, with an emphasis on the development and expansion of discipleship and formation groups such as community groups, classes (The Exchange 101, Missional Life Course, etc.), and outreach initiatives such as Alpha.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with ministries in creating community outreach opportunities for Community Groups.
Provide ongoing assessment of the effectiveness and health of the Community Groups under your care.
Build relationships with community group leaders to provide leadership and direction.
Provide leadership and organization to quarterly and annual classes such as Alpha, The Exchange 101, Missional Life Course, and future discipleship and formation initiatives.
Assist with the teaching and leading of classes and formation initiatives.
Requirements:
Demonstrating maturity and integrity as a person and as a Christian in personal conduct and in relationships with others.
Ability to sustain meaningful relationships, to give leadership in enlisting and organizing people in ministry.
Able to lead worship vocally from the piano, or with guitar or other instruments
You may have to bend, sit, or stand for prolonged periods of time, lift, pull, push, and/or move up to 35 lbs.
Desired Skills:
Organizational, administrative, and communication skills. Should be people-oriented and able to work effectively across a broad spectrum of age groups and personalities; they should be able to identify potential leaders and volunteers by matching individual spiritual gifts and talents with ministry opportunities.
Creativity and flexibility in a variety of musical styles for worship
Experience with preaching, teaching, and/or public speaking.
Reports to:
The Worship Ministry Leader reports to and works in cooperation with the Operations Director.
Work Schedule:
Full-Time Salary Exempt (40 hours/week)
We ask all staff to attend all staff meetings, and ministry meetings and serve with a willing heart, especially at all major events.
Days off (Saturdays & Tuesdays) With on-call availability on Saturdays as needed for special events.
You may have to work evenings and/or weekends to assist with special events or emergencies
Sunday: 8 am – 2 pm schedule
Salary:
Salary to be determined based on education and experience.
