Pre-Suit Personal Injury Paralegal / Legal Assistant
The candidate will handle new client intakes and questions. Set up injury claims. Assist clients with property damage questions and claims. Manage clients' medical appointments. Help explain process to clients and answer ongoing question. Develop case strategy with attorneys & manage client throughout the claim. Assist & advise clients throughout medical treatment process. Obtain medical records, bills and other evidence. Create medical treatment and billing summaries. Negotiate subrogation claims and medical bills. Prepare demand packages. Participate in Closing claims, 4 years of personal injury law experience are required. Bilingual (English & Spanish) is a plus. Works well in team environment (our team gets along very well). Heavy emphasis on strategizing with attorneys, attention to detail & treating each case uniquely in order to develop necessary evidence to maximum claim value. Organized, detail oriented and able to multitask. Strong oral and written communication skills coupled with ability to think on your feet are required. Able to handle sensitive, confidential matters, resolve conflicts & empathize with clients are required. Must be able to understand medical terminology.
