Job Overview

A law firm seeks an associate with three to six years of construction-related transactional experience to join its nationally recognized Construction and Infrastructure Transactions practice in Boulder, CO. The team handles sophisticated contracts for large-scale energy, transportation, and industrial infrastructure projects, offering direct partner mentorship and early client contact within a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Duties

• Draft and negotiate sophisticated contracts, including EPC agreements, design-build documents, alternative delivery contracts, supply and purchase agreements, service and engineering agreements, and consulting agreements.



• Advise clients on risk allocation, indemnification, insurance, bonding, and other critical commercial terms for national infrastructure projects.



• Communicate effectively with clients and multidisciplinary project teams to manage complex, high-stakes transactions.

Requirements

• Demonstrated proficiency in independently drafting and negotiating construction-related contracts.



• Hands-on experience advising on risk allocation, indemnification, insurance, and bonding.



• Excellent legal writing skills and meticulous attention to detail.



• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced practice handling matters of national significance.

Education

• Strong academic credentials from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in Colorado or eligibility for admission.

Skills

• Proficiency in drafting and negotiating EPC, design-build, and alternative delivery contracts.



• Strong ability to communicate effectively with clients and multidisciplinary project teams.



• Experience with large-scale energy, transportation, and industrial infrastructure projects.
