Job Overview

A law firm seeks a junior to mid-level Real Estate Associate to join its New York office. The ideal candidate will possess strong academic credentials, excellent technical skills, and a solid foundation in the real property sector. They should be adaptable and willing to work across a broad range of real estate matters and asset classes.

Duties

• Represent domestic and international clients in various real estate transactions.
• Draft and negotiate documentation for real estate transactions, including purchase and sale agreements and leases.
• Advise on acquisition, disposition, leasing, joint venture, development, and financing matters.
• Conduct and coordinate due diligence for real estate transactions.
• Support other practice groups with real estate matters.
• Conduct legal research and ensure clients' interests are protected.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of general real estate experience in a large firm setting.
• Experience representing borrowers and lenders in financing transactions.
• Experience conducting due diligence, including lease and title review.
• Outstanding communication and time management skills.
• Excellent drafting skills and a client service focus.
• Admitted to the bar in New York.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admitted to the bar in New York.
