A law firm seeks a Litigation Attorney in Orlando, FL. The attorney will manage high-value cases in both state and federal courts, overseeing all aspects from pre-trial preparation to trial proceedings.

Duties

• Meet with clients and file lawsuits.
• Propound and respond to written discovery.
• Schedule and attend fact witness depositions.
• Retain appropriate experts and attend expert depositions.
• Schedule and attend hearings.
• Prepare for and attend mediations.
• Prepare cases for trial and try cases to verdict.
• Prepare and file post-trial motions.
• Attend file audits, litigation attorney meetings, and trial clinics.

Requirements

• License in good standing to practice law in Florida.
• 1-5 years of experience as a personal injury litigator.
• Ability to manage a large and active caseload from filing through verdict.
• Proven ability to provide direction and guidance to a team.
• Impeccable verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent negotiation skills.
• Strong analytical and research skills.
• Strong courtroom presence and eagerness to try cases.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Florida Bar admission.
